Leichhardt Uniting Church was founded in 1880 as a Methodist Church, For more than 100 years, LUC has been a a Safe Place and an Affirming Congregation. Leichhardt Uniting Church works towards the full acceptance and ministry of devout Christian LGBT+ people within the Family of God, and invites the local community to join us in choosing humility over hostility, encouraging all into becoming a reconciled people with God and one another. This historic and characterful space is available for hire and, in addition to regular use as a place of worship, has been a temporary home to theatre groups and musicians - boasting one of Sydney's iconic organs and featuring regularly on tour rosters for travelling performers. It is situated close to Sydney CBD, with easy access to parking (including a 100-space council parking lot directly connected to the rear hall entrance), shops and public transport. The Church offers extended amenities on request, with accessible bathrooms included in your hire, along with tea station. and full AV capabilities are standard. About the organisation

Leichhardt Uniting Church is an inclusive, young congregation that is focused on social justice. The Uniting Church is the third largest Christian denomination in Australia and the first church to be created in and of Australia. On any Sunday more than 2,500 congregations worship at a Uniting Church including many congregations that worship in languages other than English. Our churches can be found deep in the heart of our cities, or in our most isolated and outback towns.
